Amy is a Registered Social Worker with a Masters in Social Work with a Clinical specialization. She is originally from a small town in New Brunswick and completed my studies in several Provinces across Canada. She has also resided abroad for over a year and gained further experience in the field.

 

Amy brings knowledge from multiple settings in the field with significant experience from children and families who have experienced child abuse or navigated through the Child and Family Services system, adoption and post adoption supports. Her areas of specialization include anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship issues, grief and loss, child abuse, attachment and adoption to name a few. She utilizes a variety of therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Strengths Based, Narrative Therapy and Play Therapy.

 

Amy's practice includes the provision of individual therapy with a noted passion in working with children through play. Her counselling practice will assist with activities of daily living, giving information and providing advice with the intent of enhancing personal development, providing emotional support or promoting spiritual growth.
