Registered Provisional Psychologist
Olivia Buzderewicz

Olivia’s journey into the field of psychology began during her undergraduate studies, where a sport psychology class sparked a deep curiosity about the mind–body connection, human behavior, and the ways people adapt to life’s challenges. While she did not work in a psychology-related field prior to graduate school, her academic pathway reflects a long-standing dedication to understanding the human experience. Following her undergraduate degree, she moved directly into her master’s, driven by a desire to support others through emotional pain, life transitions, and relational struggles.

What is your main attraction to this profession?

I’m most drawn to the relational aspect of psychology- the power of deep listening and connection. Creating a space where someone feels truly seen and understood can be profoundly healing, and I'm inspired by the opportunity to support others through presence and attunement.

If your pet could talk, what would they say about you?

If my dog could talk, he’d say I love him more than life itself—and he’d be right. But that’s also how I care for the people closest to me.

Olivia works with individuals from various walks of life, supporting those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, and relationship issues. She provides therapy to both adolescents and adults, offering developmentally attuned care that honors each person’s story and unique strengths.

Her approach to therapy is grounded in an attachment-focused lens, emphasizing the importance of emotional safety, connection, and trust within the therapeutic relationship. Olivia draws from a range of evidence-based modalities to guide her work. When appropriate, she incorporates EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) to help clients process traumatic experiences and foster healing.

The one thing you wish everybody knew?

ou are not too much, too sensitive, or too damaged – you’re someone with a story worth understanding.

Something you wouldn’t mind loosing?

Sometimes, I think I wouldn’t mind losing my phone is the best way to be truly present. In a world full of distractions, stepping away helps deepen connection – with ourselves and others – and enjoy the moment.

With a style that is both direct and approachable, Olivia creates a compassionate and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen and supported, while also being gently challenged to explore growth and change. She views therapy as a collaborative journey—one in which clients are empowered to reconnect with themselves, navigate life with greater clarity, and build more fulfilling relationships.
